About Us
Growing up in Kansas as a farmer, rancher, and hunter has taught us to keep a close hand with the land. We have different outlooks on hunting, habitat, and heritage than your average outfitter. From conservation to hospitality, we have a passion for all aspects of HFO. Providing this opportunity to other waterfowl enthusiasts is our passion. We genuinely enjoy providing the opportunity for conservation and hunting enthusiasts to enjoy great days in the duck blind.
Who We Are
My outlook on being a duck hunter and guide is simple. Give back more than you take away. That's the mantra that sparked my passion for building wetlands and moist soil resources ducks can thrive in for months at a time. My drive for creating opportunities to better the heritage of hunting is what sparks my fire and will for years to come. The challenge of creating an ecosystem that can provide waterfowl with the resources they need to flourish is a hurdle, but it's what makes the process great. I hope that during your time here you begin to understand what's being done today to help the generation of tomorrow, and how important it is that we cultivate that the right way.

What We Do
We hunt, teach, listen, and learn everyday. Our message to guests is that there is so much more in the big picture than just pulling the trigger. If your outlook on success in the field is numbers or a photo for justification of harvest, then we don't have much in common. Once hunters graduate from those youthful mindsets, they can begin to truly embrace the art of being a waterfowler.
We will never learn it all or become a master of the craft but we dang sure try to do so everyday. That relationship and approach is one that we hope also rubs off on our guests. Learning about the ducks themselves, understanding the challenges with seasons, management, and conservation initiatives can make a stronger impact in our society than any tailgate pile photo; and we want to be invested in the bigger picture.
